Ulverstone set to host a new Festival
In April Ulverstone will come alive and be host to the inaugural North West EcoFest. This Festival aims to inspire a new perspective on our relationship with the environment and each other so that we may all act to create a socially harmonious and ecologically sustainable future.
On April 8th this free Community event will encourage people to find out more about how to live sustainably and how to reduce their ecological footprint. For many this may be the first opportunity they have had to share information and knowledge about sustainable living.
Our aim is that every person leaves having learnt something about the environment or a tip about how to tread more lightly on the earth. To achieve this we are offering:-
· a range of stalls – from energy saving to ethical investing; wild foods to earth friendly cleaning products; bush burials to electric transport.
· opportunities to engage with a selection of community groups willing to share their expertise in the areas of sustainability, wellbeing and of the environment.
· information talks and open discussions – ranging from bees to permaculture : birds of the north-west to tips on saving energy at home.
· and a chance to enjoy wonderful local food, music and the good company of like-minded people.
