What in the World is Wicking? – Love growing vegetables?  Want to reduce watering time?  Want to go on holidays and come back to a thriving vegie patch?  Back or knees tired of getting you down to ground level?  Then this workshop is for you. Come and ask all the questions you’ve ever wanted to ask about Wicking Beds.  Work alongside members of the Penguin Community Garden as they complete their 40 wicking beds made from recycled apple crates.  Penguin Community Garden, 235 Ironcliffe Road, Penguin.  12noon to 2pm followed by afternoon tea.  Cost $5 or $10 per family.  RSVP to secretary@nwec.org.au or 6425 6928 by Wednesday 21st June.
