Entries are now open for the 2017 GIANT Tas Gravity Enduro State Series, with Round One set to descend on Hobart's Wellington Park in October.
The four-round series will see up to 150 competitors contest the best gravity mountain bike courses across the state, taking in kunanyi (Mt Wellington), Penguin's Dial Range, The Meehan Range in Clarence and Derby in North Eastern Tasmania.
The growing sport received some welcome attention when th Enduro World Series descended on Derby in April last year. The event included a local competition that saw many of Tasmania's Gravity Enduro regulars compete in both the Challenger and World Series event along with the best Enduro riders from across the globe.
This year's series will also include a skills clinic on the day prior to each event, allowing those interested in testing out their skills a chance to take to the course with assistance of a coach.
Australian Mountain Biking champs Jodi Willett and Roy Langman will lead both women and mens skills coaching sessions which are suitable for beginners and intermediate riders interested in trying out Enduro.
