Make a beautiful basket from found coastal rope. Learn basketry technique while creating a unique basket here at Hive.

In this Beach Rope Basket Workshop, you will learn traditional coiled and stitched basketry techniques. Making use of old fishing ropes salvaged from our North West Coast beaches, you will create a small basket of your own design. All materials and tools are provided, along with an instruction booklet for you to take away to ensure you can continue making at home.

The workshop is 4 hrs with a 1 hr lunch break.

*This workshop is suitable for ages 16+

It requires no prior learning or art ability and all materials are supplied.

Self-serve tea and coffee will be available.

Participants are encouraged to bring along their own lunch or visit the onsite cafe Seventy Acres for delicious coffee and snacks.
