Ulverstone Repertory Theatre is hosting a comedy workshop with RACHEL BERGER, one of Australia’s favourite stand-up comedians.
Rachel will be delivering a one-day Stand Up Comedy workshop to twelve first-time, would-be comedians who will perform their routines to a live audience that very night.
We all live with the fear of failure so why not bite the bullet and move out of the lounge room and onto the stage. There is no security for the comedian. Anxiety goes with the territory; it’s the cattle prod towards excellence. This is NOT a comedy-writing workshop. But a rare and unique opportunity to draw on Rachel’s thirty years of experience to help you understand your illogical self and what makes YOU funny? In order to be funny, you have to know and trust your comic-self on stage and that’s what this workshop is about, discovering your own funny! You must be present all day & evening of Saturday, February 22, 2025. Duration: workshop 10.00am to 5.00pm + show 7.00pm to 8.50pm.
Please Note: Places are limited to 12 people • Participants must be 18 years + over and must be available from 10am on the day of the event for an all-day workshop followed by a rehearsal and performance that evening. • Applications close midnight Monday 27th January 2025
